Art Republic's mission statement: sustainability – ethical guidelines and carbon footprint
Art Republic prioritizes art, community, and most importantly the environment. The platform prides itself in sustainable practices within the art installations, production process, and travel fares. The installations avoid the use of PVC and non-recyclable materials. The subject of the art often commits to raising awareness of human effect across ecosystems.
To minimize the environmental footprint, Art Republic avoids the shipping of artworks and equipment by engaging in local production. It partners with community organizations for materials and support, therefore localizing the economic flow. The mission is to foster ongoing partnerships that will enhance the local economy by working with area businesses and communities.
Art Republic commits to environmental improvements by engaging in practices that avoid raising the carbon footprint. This is exhibited by an extensive online network, hosting digital programs and interviews with international guests to avoid flying. The artists and curators are encouraged to travel via land rather than airfare. If flight tickets are purchased it is only through airlines offering carbon-neutral passes. Additionally, each of its projects has ongoing environmentally conscious collaborations with local food suppliers. They offer sustainable practices such as farm-to-table vegetarian and vegan options or local and organic cultivated poultry, meat and fish.
